THE ARCHETYPICAL FIGURES
Archetypical figures are universal, shared, hereditary stages of our life paths. Archetypical figures exist within every religious, mythical, folklore, fictional story and help us understand the flow. I see them as guides, helping us strengthen and fly.

ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Fool
The winged messenger and the herald of gods, Hermes was the carrier of the souls, the supreme trickster and the god of thieves. His naught nature gave him a thirst for entertainment. He represents the fool archetype. Someone who is good at pushing boundaries sympathetically. Hermes, as a hedonist, likes to be free, light, and to laugh. He lives in the moment without the sadness of the past or the worrying of the future.
However, he fears calmness. His search for the adrenaline rush makes him prone to consumption. It is difficult to find the meaning or purpose of your life. If you lose this hope, you will stop searching for what actually moves you and look into the withering rush of momentary pleasures. Tell me; “You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life?” -Quote by Rumi

Altin Tatli (Golden Sweet) is an artist living and creating in Istanbul,Turkey. Altın’s multi-disciplinary practice explores the possibilities of an intergalactical and interdimensional language of art. As a maximalist artist, they use many forms of art to include us in their universe.
